5. “How To Train Your Dragon” surprised everybody by finishing first at the box office this weekend. The 3-D cartoon earned another $20 million in its fourth week. Hot on its heels in second place was the new movie, “Kick-Ass.” It was super-close, too — earning $19.75 million for second. Maybe if it had been in 3-D, it wouldn’ve debuted in first. Coming in third was “Date Night,” with $17.3 million .

4. Snooki, J-WOWW, The Situation, and friends have been living inside the Metropole Hotel in South Beach while they’re filming the second season of “Jersey Shore.” Several walls of the 1940s hotel had to be torn down to make the space more suitable for such a big cast, but the owners hope they’ll make that money back fast. They plan on renting out the Jersey Shore Suite for $2000 a night after the cast packs up and heads back home to Jersey.

3. Carrie Underwood made history last night by becoming the first woman to win the CMA for Entertainer of the Year twice. But Lady Antebellum was the big winner of the night, winning 5 awards, including song and record of the year for their crossover hit “Need You Now.” They also snapped Rascal Flatts’ 7-year winning streak by taking home the award for best vocal group. However, Miranda Lambert beat out Lady Antebellum for album of the year. But maybe the biggest story of the night isn’t who won, but who lost. Taylor Swift was completely shut out of the ACMs last night after sweeping the Country Music Association Awards back in November and then taking home her Grammy in January.

2. Lindsay Lohan hasn’t done much work since her last movie “Labor Pains” went straight to DVD, but that hasn’t stopped her bad habit of spending money. Lindsay used to make a good bit of money doing club appearances, but those are drying up, too. Now that her career is tanking, she’s lucky to get $5K to show up these days. A source says Lindsay owes about $600K in credit card debt and claims that one credit card company cut her off last week. And just last month, Lindsay reportedly had to scrape up $23K to catch up on back rent so she could stay in her place.

1. Kim Kardashian has reportedly moved on from her breakup with Reggie Bush. She was seen making out with international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo while she was in Madrid last week. But what we haven’t heard about is the reason behind Kim and Reggie’s breakup. MediaTakeOut.com claims they have the real story from an “extremely reliable” insider. They claim that Reggie and Kim were headed toward marriange and that Reggie even went so far as to buy the ring. He was just waiting for the right time to pop the question. Well! One day, Reggie was using Kim’s laptop when all of a sudden some IMs came over — from Kanye West!! Reggie pretended to be Kim and was able to figure out that Kanye and Kim had been seeing each other for months behind Reggie’s back. MediaTakeOut.com says Reggie confronted Kim about it and she confessed. So he broke up with her and then headed straight for Kanye. This “extremely reliable” source says Kanye’s security had to hold Reggie back, but that the next time Reggie sees Kanye, he’s gonig to whoop his butt.

They made it official so now they’ve decided to make it FOREVER. It seems Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom want to make their wedding permanent because they got eachothers’ names tattooed! Khloe wrote on her blog that they were at dinner and she just knew she had to have his name written on her hand. They went to the tattoo shop and decided to get eachother’s initials. She got LO in cursive on her right hand and he got KO on both hands. Obviously this was a terrible idea.
Who was caught doing the walk of shame? Joe Jonas was spotted leaving Demi Lovato’s house early Friday morning! They pair have been hanging together a lot lately and though they blame it on Camp Rock 2 film schedule, sources seem to think differently. Joe spent the night on Friday and of course Demi’s dad says he was the “chaperone”.
Is Kanye planning to steal the stage from Taylor Swift again this weekend? Taylor and Taylor are definitely ON! Taylor Swift arrived at LAX to pick up Taylor Lautner with her driver and then they headed to the LA Kings hockey game.  After the game, they were seen in the lobby of a hotel in Beverly Hills and Taylor was all dressed up and not bothered at all by the stares, while T. Lautner was hiding under a hoodie.  And in other Taylor Swift news, since she is hosting SNL this weekend, producers are working to book Kanye as a SURPRISE guest to make fun of the whole VMA incident!

KANYE WEST has taken a sudden interest in Hinduism and it looks like he’s headed to India. After his MTV Awards meltdown and dropping out of his tour, he has announced that he wants to chill out at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India.  Hindu leaders there are very excited for his arrival and say they hope he takes his time seriously. The leaders say that doing so will be crucial in finding the spiritual guidance he needs.

Britney Spears has cleaned up her act and wants everyone around her to do the same. The Circus tour is headed to Australia and she has demanded mandatory drug tests for all of those who want to stay employed by her. This a zero tolerance policy-NO drugs and NO drinking at all. She is trying to maintain her shared custody of the kids and doesn’t want any temptations around. Apparently every single one of the 150 tour employees have singed the agreements to undergo drug testing.

There’s a new couple in town and they both share the same name-TAYLOR! Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner weren’t helping the rumors that they’re together when they embraced at her concert on Friday. A Youtube video shows the Twilight star sitting in the front row at Swift’s concert in Chicago with his eyes locked on her. At the end of the show, Swift gives a few of the front row fans hugs and of course Taylor Lautner’s hug lasted longer that any of the others.  The crowd of course started cheering. The Taylors continue saying they are “just friends”, however when Swift was asked about their kiss in the movie “Valentine’s Day”, she said it was life-changing!

It’s always seemed like Kevin Federline was a pig and it turns out he is! The homeowners of the place where he lived up until this past May are furious. Not only did he skip out on the last 6 months of rent, he turned the home into a dump.  The owners are demanding $110,661 in unpaid rent and damages which include:

- Gutters full of cigarette butts and empty beer bottles
- Permanent spit marks on exterior paint
- Broken light covers
- Dead trees and plants due to failure to water
- Drawings all over the walls
- Dismantled smoke detectors
- Master bathroom windows tinted (without owners’ permission)

They took to their twitter yesterday to reveal what they have decided to be for Halloween this year. Ashley Tisdale has decided to be Alice in Wonderland and Miley has plans to be Pocohontas. She also tweeted that she has yet to cast a John Smith.

Beyonce is finally speaking out about what went down at the VMA’s with Kanye. She discussed her displeasure AND her understanding of his actions.

She says: “Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this award. And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’ But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment — and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”

Kanye West may be able to take time off to think about his life after all now that his concert tour has been canceled. Live Nation announced that the “Fame Kills” tour with Lady Gaga will not happen at all. They gave no reason behind the cancellation. Kanye did tell Jay Leno last month that he planned to take some time off in light of the VMA incident with Taylor Swift so this may be what he was referring to.The three-month, 34-show tour across the United States and Canada was to start next month. Tickets went on sale last week. Live Nation is offering refunds to all of those who bought tickets. Mediatakeout claims it’s Gaga who wanted out, not Kanye, but reps for both have not responded as of yet!

David Letterman made a shocking personal confession on his show last night, admitting he was the victim of a $2 million extortion attempt and that he had had sexual relations with female members of staff. A few weeks ago, he received a blackmail package from someone that claimed to have knowledge about him and relations with other female members of his staff. The sender wanted to 2 million dollars or said they were going public. Last night on his show he said he went to testify in court and admitted to the relationships despite the embarrassment. Letterman helped participate in a sting operation, eventually meeting with the extortionist and giving them a counterfeit $2 million check. Police made the arrest yesterday and CBS announced that the suspect was an employee for 48 Hours.

As we know, Kevin Jonas is set to marry his girlfriend of a few year, Danielle Deleasa sometime this winter. Things are being held up by money of course and may halt the wedding completely. Kevin is supposedly getting a serious prenup drafted for Danielle to sign because he wants to protect his millions. Apparently she isn’t happy AT ALL. She still hasn’t signed the prenup and is taking time to “come to terms with the request”. She is bothered by the lack of trust it shows!

5. Kate Gosselin says she is sad and confused by Jon’s statements to the media about how TLC is wrecking their children’s lives. Kate says, in fact, that Jon is on record as saying he believes the show benefits their children and he was taping as recently as last Friday. But as soon as he found out he was being cut from the show and it was being renamed “Kate Plus 8,” he suddenly had these huge moral issues with it. Kate’s released a statement saying, “It appears that Jon’s priority is Jon and his interests. My priority remains our children and their well being.”TLC also slammed Jon, saying that his latest comments that his eight kids are suffering as a result of the show are “grossly inaccurate, without merit and clearly opportunistic.” Meantime, the show has been suspended pending further conversations between both parents.

4. Kristen Stewart did an interview with “Interview” magazine and says that she’s not a big fan of the fame that came along with her role as Bella in the “Twilight” series. She says, “I’d like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave. So it can be boring.” In fact, she says, “It can be annoying.” But Kristin doesn’t believe she’ll always be so famous. She says she has a feeling that this is the most intense it’s going to get and that it will be fleeting. But in the meantime, two people who ARE digging Kristin’s fame are her parents — especially her dad, who she says is “embarrassingly proud,” going around with all these magazines and pointing out his daughter to people.

Tyson Ritter had to have surgery to remove a tumor from his leg, but he’s the type of guy that believes “The show must go on!” So that very night, he performed with the All-American Rejects in Tampa while sitting in a wheelchair and wearing a leg brace. But somebody finally knocked some sense into him, and the band has canceled some upcoming shows to give Tyson’s leg a chance to heal properly. The Rejects will pick up touring again on November 3.

Last night on his show, David Letterman shocked everybody when he revealed that somebody had tried to blackmail him for $2 million, and that he had just testified before a grand jury to put his blackmailer behind bars. Dave said that 3 weeks ago, he got a package from somebody who claimed to have information about several sexual relationships he’d had with his female employees. This guy was a producer for “48 Hours” named Joe Halderman, and Joe said he’d go public with the information if Dave didn’t pay up. Well, Dave did have several relationships with several of his employees, but he wasn’t about to give in to a blackmailer. So he contacted the Manhattan DA’s office and investigators told Dave to mail a phony $2 million check to this guy. And that led to Joe’s arrest yesterday. A TV station in NY found out that one of the women at the center of this extortion case is Dave’s former assistant Stephanie Birkitt, who was the suspect’s girlfriend and lived with him until recently.

1. Live Nation released a statement yesterday saying the Lady Gaga and Kanye West’s “Fame Kills” tour has been canceled. Not postponed. Canceled. They offered no explanation, just said that anybody who bought tickets can get a full refund. The tour was scheduled to kick off November 10 in Phoenix and it was scheduled to run through at least January. But TMZ says forget the rumors that Kanye is finally going to take that time off he said he needed to deal with his mother’s death. TMZ says the tour was scrapped because ticket sales were pathetic, and Lady Gaga decided she’d be better off playing smaller venues. Plus, sources say Kanye’s and Gaga’s people were constantly at each other’s throats, and it was just becoming too much drama.

Friends of JT’s say the singer finally dumped his girlfriend of 3 years, Jessica Biel, last month over the phone. JT told his pals that “it’s over” between he and Biel, even though other insiders (aka Jessica’s friends) say that they can’t be positive the two have split because “with them it’s so hot and cold.” Apparently Jessica is refusing to give up on the relationship, with sources saying the actress is in “severe denial and won’t accept” the split.

As far as things with Rihanna go, supposedly they were dancing pretty hot and heavily at the VMAs after party in New York and then took their own party back to RiRi’s hotel room. Word has it that Jessica found out about their rendezvous within days.

A source told Star magazine (so who knows how credible this is), that Rihanna and Justin have been talking and texting on the phone nonstop since the VMAs. She asked him on the phone, ‘Are you still with Jessica?’ And he hinted that things were cooling off between them.” JT and Rihanna are said to be heating up the recording studio lately, not only with working together on her new album, but apparently RiRi was giving out lap dances to Justin as well!

As wrong as it sounds, the genius tome penned by Lauren Conrad will become a feature film! Temple Hill Entertainment, which has the Twilight saga under its belt, has purchased the screen rights to L.A. Candy. The bestselling book follows Jane Roberts, a 19-year old who moves to El Lay, finds fame as a reality star and is forced to deal with the repercussions of fame. “Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book,” said Temple Hill partner, Marty Bowen. “We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.”Her book has been on the New York Times bestsellers list for 14 weeks and, unfortunately, we can look forward to two more books from LC.

Kanye West threw a fit over the weekend at Common’s charity concert at the Hollywood Palladium – all over some chicken!

While in the dressing room backstage, Kanye saw someone eating chicken and he freaked out shouting, “Why wasn’t I offered chicken? You want me to perform for free, [and] everyone is eating…why am I not eating?”  The waiter told him it was because he didn’t ask and Kanye snapped back with, “Well, I’m asking now!” The waiter promptly got him the chicken to which Kanye responded by taking a single bite and throwing the rest out.  Apparently girlfriend Amber Rose looked pretty embarrassed and rightly so!

5. There is life after “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ — at least for Kate. Kate Gosselin is teaming up with Paula Deen for a new TV show, which will be a mix of advice, heath and beauty tips, and celebrity gossip, all targeting moms and moms-to-be. They’re shooting the pilot later this month. Reportedly Paula’s been shopping shows around for the past five years and Kate’s been trying to pitch a talk show of her own. And somewhere along the line, these two women hooked up and now they’re hoping to make some magic.

4. Real Housewife of New Jersey Teresa has given birth to another baby girl. This would be her fourth daughter with hubby Joe. Little Audriana was born Monday, weighing in at 7 lbs., 10 oz.

3. Patrick Swayze’s body will be cremated and his ashes are going to be spread across his ranch in New Mexico. Patrick loved his Rancho de Dias Alegres and visited it whenever he could. He had his own plane and would fly there often. Patrick said it was his favorite place in the world, so it’s fitting that his ashes be scattered there.

2. Chris Brown can’t contact Rihanna for five years, and it’s tearing him apart. He’s been tweeting his little heart out — his Twitter name is MechanicalDummy, btw — posting a link to a YouTube video for his new song, “Changed Man,” which is set to a montage of photos of Chris and Rihanna during happier times. He added the message, “Sorry y’all, just one of those days.” In the next tweet, he posted, “MY HEART IS INCOMPLETE…the part that is complete is my love for fans, career, friends, family..God. but im missing someone or something.” But he deleted that after apparently getting a lot of unwanted attention. His next tweet was, “I AINT POSTIN S*** ELSE ABOUT ME (PERSONALLY)….IM SO OVER ALL THIS BULLS***.”

1. Kanye West made good on his promise and called Taylor Swift yesterday to apologize for jacking her acceptance speech at the VMAs. Taylor was on “The View” yesterday morning and the ladies asked her if she’d gotten her apology yet and she said no. But right after the show ended, Taylor says, “Kanye did call me, and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology.”

5. For those women still holding on to that shred of hope that you can have your own Mr. Big, it’s time to let go. Mr. Big himself — Chris Noth — is engaged to be married to his baby mama, Tara Lynn Wilson. They’ve been dating for five years and have a son together.

4. Did you think Jessica Simpson’s year couldn’t get any worse? You were wrong. First she had that awful blue jeans incident and then came the criticism over her weight gain. Then Tony Romo dumped her, allegedly for taking Beyonce’s advice and demanding that he “put a ring on it.” And now, the most horrible thing has happened. Jessica’s little malti-poo Daisy was taken by a coyote — right in front of her eyes! Jessica is holding out hope that Daisy is alive and she’s desperately searching for her.

3. So Lil Mama jumped up on the stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance at the VMAs Sunday night and nobody cared. But that didn’t stop her from issuing an apology! She told MTV, “I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys. I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment, I came up onstage to celebrate my two icons singing about New York.” Huh. And still, nobody cares.

2. Last night on Jay Leno’s new show, Kanye West asked for a minute so he could apologize for ambushing Taylor Swift during her VMA acceptance speech Sunday night. Kanye blames his actions from the pain he still suffers from his mother’s death. He says he never took time off to deal with it, he just kept working. He told Jay, “I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt…” And he said he’s going to take some time off to analyze his actions and figure out how he’s going to make it through the rest of this life. But he can’t take too much time, because his tour with Lady Gaga starts next month.

1. Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday after an almost two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Lisa Niemi.  Patrick’s family issued a statement saying they were all by his side at the time he passed away. When Patrick was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, doctors only gave him weeks to live. He fought for 20 months.

5. Celebrity baby news! Lil Wayne is a daddy for the third time and he’s on standby for number four. Actress Lauren London gave birth to Lil Wayne’s son on 09.09.09. His other girlfriend Nivea is due to give birth to another Lil Wayne baby before the end of the year. Lil Wayne has a 10-month-old son named Dwayne Michael Carter III by an unidentified baby mama. And of course, he had 9-year-old Regina from his marriage to childhood sweetheart Antonia Carter. Also, Tom Brady had finally confirmed the worst-kept secret in celebrity baby news — his wife Giselle Bundchen is pregnant and due in December. And finally, Elton John says his partner David Furnish has always wanted to adopt, but Elton said no because he’s 62 and he’s always traveling. But after meeting a toddler named Lev at a Ukranian orphanage over the weekend, Elton says he’s changed his mind and he’s going to do what he can to adopt this little boy.

4. Michael Jackson’s three children will be protected by a team of bodyguards who are trained to fight and deal with kidnapping and hostage situations.  A source says Michael’s death has made the children even more of a target and now they will be guarded like royalty. So the Jackson family lawyers have a team of six security men to protect the kids at a pricetag of $1.1 million a year.

3. Despite all the evidence of cheating being thrown in her face, Bachelorette Jillian Harris is keeping up this facade that she and Ed Swiderski are actually going to make it down the aisle. In fact, she’s moving in with him at his place in Chicago tomorrow. She won’t give any wedding details, other than to say it will be super low key and will involve a couple of kegs.

2. Audrina Patridge has been granted a temporary restraining order against this creep who keeps showing up on her doorstep. Zachary Loring is this 6′4″, 180-pound, 24-year-old stranger who showed up at Audrina’s front door on August 26. He handed her a stack of photos, postcards, drawings and poems he’d written. There was one particularly disturbing drawing of a woman being strangled, and Audrina says the postcards were all dated September 15, 2009 — almost 3 weeks into the future. Audrina says the guy handed her a beer and told her it was from his family’s brewery in Napa Valley and said he wanted to watch her drink it. He finally left. Audrina says 3 days later, her neighbors saw Zachary lurking on her porch again and surveillance tape showed he’d been there for 7 hours, babbling to himself. Zachary was back the next day wearing a black suit and red tie, and this time — not the first two times — but THIS time, Audrina called 911. When police got there, Audrina says Zachary didn’t seem the least bit phased by them and kept trying to approach her, but cops placed him under arrest for trespassing and some outstanding warrants. He was free the next day on $15K bail, but Audrina was completely freaked out that he might come back and try to hurt her or worse. So she requested a restraining order and got a temporary one. A hearing on a 3-year restraining order is set for September 30.

1. The big news this morning is Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the VMAs. Taylor says at first she was really excited because Kanye West was on stage…but then she wasn’t so excited any more after that. He pretty much humiliated her and left her completely speechless when he grabbed her mic and said Beyonce should’ve won instead. Right afterward, Kanye was tossed from the audience and Taylor went backstage where she was seen hysterically crying. But Beyonce showed class when she won Video of the Year but gave her time up for Taylor to finish her speech. Taylor says she wasn’t expecting that. All she knew was that MTV told her to be waiting at the side of the stage. Meantime, Kanye went back to his place to watch the rest of the show and banged out an apology — sort of — in all caps!! That’s incredibly annoying. It said, in part, “I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said….I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment…Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!!! … I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Everybody wanna boooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!!….I gave my awards to Outkast when they deserved it over me…That’s what it is!!!!!!!” There was more but that’s enough. And by the way, although Kanye claims he apologized to Taylor’s mom, a source says that’s not true. We’ll see what kind of reception he gets on Jay Leno’s new primetime talk show that kicks off tonight with musical guests Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye. It would be GENIUS if Taylor Swift came out and interrupted his performance.
