Coach Mike of the party patrol here.  How’s it goin’?  Good?…Sweet.

So, everyone always asks me, “Coach Mike…how is it that Charlie is so amazing?”  And I say, “Do you mean Charlie the Horse or 105-1 Charlie FM the radio station?”  Then they say, “What?”  And then I get into some big drawn out conversation about how we have a mascot horse named Charlie.  And then they say, “Why the hell do you have a horse?”  Then I have to explain the joke.  We’re Charlie FM.  It’s a Horse.  Get it?  Charlie…Horse??  It’s funny!  Laugh dammit!!!

…Sorry, got a little worked up there.  The point of my story was…uh…hang on a second…

…had to finish my beer.

Charlie the Horse IS amazing.  I mean, did you SEE him climb the rock wall at Brat Fest this year?  Yeah…he made it to the top.  Have you seen him hula hoop?  It’s quite a performance.  Did you see him throw the first pitch at the Mallards game?  Dead-on strike!!**

**Disclaimer: Charlie plays slow-pitch softball, so it was a strike in an unlimited arc league, but that’s not the point.

The point is, there isn’t any real way for me to explain how amazing the Charlie Horse is.  You have to witness it for yourself.  That means, you need to either catch Charlie’s Party Patrol out and about randomly, or schedule to have them show up at an event you’re having, OR plan to make it to the Charlie’s Bud Light Bash sometime during Badger football season!! Those tailgate parties are rockin’!!!  There’s only a little bit of summer left, so if you DO happen to hook up with the Party Patrol, let your hair down!!  Get crazy!!  Take the dares we dish out in order to win the coolest free stuff!!  I mean, sometimes we have CONCERT TICKETS!!  But you gotta be willing to pony-up the big stunts!

(did ya like that one?  “pony-up”?  We have a horse…get it?  Pony…up?  It’s funny…Laugh dammit!!)

Anyway…enough about Charlie.  He’s probably got his nose buried in a trough of barley right about now.  (likely mixed with some hops, yeast, and water…if you know what I mean.)  Hope the rest of your summer kicks butt!  See you in the fall for those tailgates.
