Apparently not.  She’s being sued for the title Material Girl.

Madonna just finished up a line of kids clothes that she made with her 13-year old daughter Lourdes which they want to call “Material Girl.”  Not so fast according to an LA-based fashion company that says they already own the name and have been marketing it since 1997.

WTF?  Didn’t Madonna trademark the name when her song came out?

I’m not sure, but check out the lyrics to her song.  I’m pretty sure when she sings it, it’s legally binding.
