Jessica Simpson’s new man has stood up for her and is now giving his thoughts on John Mayer. Billy Corgan told Rolling Stone that what Mayer is doing is a not-so-subtle attempt to blow up his career. Billy says that he knows from personal experience what sabotaging your own career is like. He says, “Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction, some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’s trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, it’s hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground speaking as somebody who’s done it.”

Ladies, if you can’t get enough of Robert Pattinson you can sleep easy now. He has revealed that acting isn’t his only talent and he is releasing an album later this year. He says that after seeing all of his friends record albums he is very annoyed because he can play the guitar and the piano in addition to singing. He just can’t find the time to get in the studio. He admire J-LO for being able to sing and act!

Has Lady Gaga’s crazy style finally caught up to her? Who knew fashion could be a health risk! Well that’s exactly what happened on a recent flight when he legs began to swell due to her outfit. She was going from London to the US wearing black and yellow tape and giant blue shoes designed by her friend Alexander McQueen when she began to get symptoms of deep-vein thrombosis. THe flight crew told her that she needed to change immediately into something less restricting or she would likely have long-term damage. Just last week Gaga told an interviewer that she would rather die than let her fans see her without heels and wigs and costumes. She reluctantly obliged and needed crew assistance to get out of her outfit. She was most upset about having to take off her heels since she was wearing them in memory of McQueen.

Devastating news for 24 fans. The longtime series has been cancelled. The studio has yet to release a statement but the Hollywood rumor is that the show may end after this season. Many fans might be surprised because this show has killed it in the rating for many years but this season has taken a nosedive. Some good news might come out of this though because a 24 feature film is in the works! Jack Bauer will be traveling to Europe to film and Keifer is on board.

Lots of Jersey Shore news! They have finally announced that the cast will be living in South Beach and filming starts in 10 days! Interestingly, the entire cast is required to get blood work done as well as background checks before moving in! In Snookie news, her boyfriend is getting a little camera friendly and revealed that they exchanged their first “I Love You’s” on Valentine’s Day after a month of dating. Emilio also said something that should be considered a red flag. He said, “I wrote up a diet for her. I’m trying to get her to start dieting and start training. I’ve been living her life, so I’m trying to get her to see mine”.

Lil Wayne is in prison now and he’s made a surprising decision. Originally he was rumored to have been placed in protective custody throughout his stay. However he has decided to remain in the general population with the rest of the criminals. He said he didn’t need to be sequestered and the prison has assigned him an escort that will be with him wherever he goes. But Weezy just doesn’t want to be treated differently than the other inmates.

4. The day after she buried her 18-year-old son, Marie Osmond returned to Las Vegas to perform with her brother Donny. It was a sold-out show at the Flamingo and the crowd was a bit anxious, not knowing what to expect. But Donny and Marie came out and gave them a great show. Marie told the audience, “The way Osmonds survive is they keep singing. My son would want that. ” They ended the show with the upbeat song “It Takes Two,” but Marie struggled to finish and had to speak the last few lines through her tears. The audience gave them three standing ovations.

3.  Demi Moore gave her daughter Rumer Willis a pole-dancing lesson right in the middle of a party at the Chateau Marmont hotel. Somebody who saw the whole thing says Demi even spun around the pole upside down before Rumer jumped up there and gave it a whirl. Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Aniston and Leo Dicaprio were cheering Rumer on. In fact, Leo gave Ashton a high-five.

2. Taylor Swift doesn’t want her mom to know she’s really interested in star Cory Monteith because she’s afraid mom would scare him off. A source says, “The way her mom Andrea cuts through her potential boyfriends, Taylor’s figured out she better not have any serious mother-daughter conversatons about her love life or the relationship will be doomed from the get-go.” Taylor’s secretly telling her friends she’s crazy about Cory but her lips are sealed around mommy.  

1. Corey Haim died early this morning. He was only 38. Corey reportedly was found unresponsive at his apartment around 3:30 this morning. His mother was with him at the time. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police were called to the hospital to investigate because it looks like Corey died of a drug overdose. They do believe it was accidental. Corey was a huge teen heartthrob in the ’80s, starring in movies such as “The Lost Boys,” “Lucas” and “License To Drive.” He battled drug addiction for years and tried to clean himself up and restart his career. Just a couple years ago, he and his best friend Corey Feldman tried to get something going with their reality show called “The Two Coreys” and was pinning all his hopes on a remake of “The Lost Boys.” Just a sad ending to a sad life.

Most people know by now that Sean Penn is not a nice celebrity. He’s a fantastic actor that hates the spotlight. He has punched photogs and gotten into plenty of arguments. Well his PR team is doing some damage control following his behavior at the Academy Awards. Apparently he was banned from last night’s annual Governor’s Ball shortly after the ceremony at the Kodak Theater had ended. He confronted Greg Shapiro, a producer of The Hurt Locker and yelled at him. Why? Because Greg is dating Robin Wright (Penn). Since divorcing in August Robin seems to have moved on and Sean had some words to say to the new boyfriend. Academy officials supposedly banned him from the after-party. Sean’s rep is saying this is not true.

Is Miley Cyrus in love and is she done making music? It’s looking like yes and yes. In a recent interview Miley refers to her new bf Liam by saying, she thinks they are both deeper than normal people when it comes to thoughts and feelings. What caught her eye first about him? His height. She says he is really tall and very polite. So does Miley want to make more music? She says that music just isn’t inspiring her the way it should be and after her latest album she is going to take some time off. She is more into acting right now. The Last Song comes out soon and she also has a role in the Sex and the City sequel.

4. Lil Wayne finally made it to Rikers Island yesterday. Only 364 more days to go to serve out his sentence on a gun charge! Unless, of course, he gets out in 8 or 9 months for good behavior. Because Lil Wayne is a high-profile inmate, he wasn’t transported to prison with any other prisoners. He did have to go through the routine physical and mental health exam and questionnaire. It’s not known yet whether or not he will be in the general population or if he’ll get his own cell.

3. Although Rihanna and Matt Kemp have been working hard to keep their relationship on the down-low, it looks like they’re getting real serious. Rihanna reportedly flew to Arizona from Berlin so she could attend Matt’s fundraiser for autism AND to meet Matt’s family! Matt’s brother was diagnosed with autism so it’s a charity very dear to his entire family, so it really meant a lot to the entire family that Rihanna flew in all the way from Germany to be there. Brownie points!! Plus, a source says Rihanna fit right in with the family like they’d all known each other for years.

2. Kathy Ireland says she won’t quit her day job — which is running a billion dollar design company — but she’s taken a beating for her performance interviewing celebrities on the red carpet before the Academy Awards. She went on Twitter to address some of the more hurtful comments, including the accusation that she was drunk or on drugs. She tweeted, “No meds or alchol…just J.O.Y.! Never use drugs and that as a Mom is not a cool or funny suggestion.” Kathy admitted she can’t please everyone, but said, “Frankly I wouldn’t ever want to.” She also said nobody should feel embarrassed for her because she had a blast. And she thinks it’s great for people to be so honest because it will only help her learn and grow.

1. Since when does a kiss become the number one story in gossip? When that kiss is between Tiger Woods and his wife Elin. Neighbors saw it happen yesterday. Apparently Elin played a little tennis and then met up with Tiger. At one point they were arm-in-arm before they hugged and then kissed. They’ve come a LOOOONG way because it wasn’t too long ago that Elin couldn’t even bear to LOOK at him. Elin is still living in a rental about a mile away from the couple’s home, but things seem to be heading toward her moving back in with Tiger. A source says Elin hasn’t wanted to give up on the marriage because of their 2 kids, and that Tiger is starting to win her back.

4. In a new book called Brad Pitt and Anglina Jolie:  The True Story, author Jenny Paul claims that many years ago, Angelina had an affair with Mick Jagger. She says they first hookd up in 1997, when Angelina was in the Rolling Stones video for “Anybody Seen My Baby.” At the time, Mick was married to Jerry Hall and Angelina was married to British actor Jonny Lee Miller. Mick and Angelina hooked up again in 2003, the same year Angelina divorced Billy Bob Thornton and the year before she began shooting “Mr. &

Mrs. Smith.” That’s the movie that led Brad and Angelina to fall in love, which led him to divorce Jennifer Aniston.

3. Movie stars get recast all the time, but this might be the oddest recasting I’ve ever heard of. Selena Gomez is replacing Nicole Kidman in the lead of “Monte Carlo.” Producers wanted the story to target a younger audience, so they’re rewriting the script and casting 17-year-old Selena in the role once held by 42-year-old Nicole. The original plot followed four NJ women posing as heiresses in Monaco. The new plot will revolve around a group of high school and college girls on a trip through Paris.

2. The woman who claims Jake the Bachelor cheated on Vienna with her has now revealed herself. She is 25-year-old Tanya Douglas of Marianna, Florida. She says the day after Jake proposed to Vienna and filming on the show wrapped, he was on the phone with her, telling Tanya he still loved her and that Vienna and the other bachelorettes meant nothing to him. Tanya says Jake claimed producers forced him to propose for the sake of ratings. Jake released a statement saying, “The relationship with (Tanya) was prior to ‘The Bachelor.’ It simply did not work out.” He went on to say, “It is unfortunate that people such as this are trying to financially capitalize on or disparage my incredible relationship with Vienna.” Meantime, Tanya has lawyered up and she prepares to go public with her story.

1. The results from the “American Idol” elimination show last night weren’t completely shocking. Who didn’t expect John Park to get a pink slip after two emotionless performances? And Jermaine Sellers shot himself in the foot with his sassy attitude, so no surprise there that he got the boot. On the girls’ side, Michelle Delamor was dismissed for her performance of Creed’s “Arms Wide Open.” I was a little surprised she was kicked out and Katie Stevens got to stay. But you just had to feel sorry for poor Haley Vaughn, who had to stand there and sing “The Climb” again after sobbing her way through the video montage that shows the castoffs’ journey on on the show.

Jake “The Bachelor” Pavelka is so in love with Vienna, that he cheated on her AFTER they got engaged! Jake’s ex-girlfriend has started interviews claiming that he called her the day after taping wrapped and told her that he still loved her. He also said that the women on the show meant nothing to him. When he left to film the show, he also left his girlfriend hanging on hold. She says she thought they were still “on” and he was just trying to forward his acting career. A few phone calls led to an in-person meeting which was very secretive. She says they did not have “relations” but he did tell her that he loved her.

ALOT of progress has been made very quickly with Tiger and Elin. How do they find this information?! Apparently, Elin has agreed to move back in with Tiger. Tiger is back from treatment in Arizona and Elin went to their home yesterday to meet with him. She stayed for over 3 hours and talked in the backyard where Tiger kissed her on the cheek a bunch and they were hugging. No word on when she is going to make the move but Tiger wants her to come back this weekend.

The woman wishes to remain anonymous for now, but she did give an interview to a some morning show DJ — once she was promised that her voice would be disguised. See….this is where I start to wonder if this woman’s for real or not. Once you get morning DJs involved, there’s no telling. But apparently this woman is going to reveal herself soon, so I guess that’s when we’ll see if she’s the real deal. Anyway, she claims that she and Jake were seeing each other before he left to do “The Bachelor,” and that he was just going to do the show to further his acting career. She says that the day after Jake proposed to Vienna and taping on “The Bachelor” ended, Jake was on the phone with her, telling her he still loved her. She says Jake claimed that the producers of the show forced him to propose to Vienna and that she meant nothing to him.  But Jake and Vienna are sure putting on a good show. She’s moving to LA to be with him as he prepares for “Dancing With The Stars.”

3. Jessica Simpson was on Oprah yesterday to promote her upcoming VH1 show, “The Price of Beauty.” She says after a year of being beaten up for her weight, she’s absolutely comfortable with her body. She says, “I love my curves. I’m not going to ever be size 0, and I don’t want to weigh 90 pounds.” She told Oprah that those infamous mom jeans she wore during the chili cookoff concert were a size 4, and that the biggest she’s ever been is a size 6. (Although one source says Jessica confided to a friend last year that she was upset because she was up to an 8…) Jessica told Oprah she was disappointed with John Mayer for discussing their sex life with “Playboy” magazine. She said, “It was really discouraging because that’s not the John that I knew.” Jessica says he did apologize, but she doesn’t accept it. She says “I don’t resent him. I’m just going to let that go. That part of my life is over.”

2. RadarOnline is reporting that Elin Woods has agreed to move home with Tiger. As of right now, she’s still living in a rental about a mile away from the home they shared until Thanksgiving. A source says that Wednesday, Tiger and Elin were at their home together for about 3 hours and that at one point, Tiger leaned over and kissed Elin on the cheek and they hugged. During that conversation, she agreed to come home, and he’s hoping that will happen this weekend. So… Does this mean he’s already done with therapy in Arizona? One week did the trick? Did I miss something?

1. Lil Wayne STILL hasn’t gone to prison. He was originally supposed to go in February 9, but because he needed some dental work, the judge allowed him to wait until this past Tuesday. So Lil Wayne was ready to show up Tuesday for sentencing and then head straight to Rikers for a year, but a basement fire shut down Manhattan Criminal Court. So instead of going to prison on Tuesday, Lil Wayne went to Madison Square Garden and jumped up on stage with Jay-Z. Afterward, he stopped by the premiere party for “Brooklyn’s Finest.” A source says Lil Wayne showed up with a posse of six, but security wouldn’t let him in. He pitched a fit until one of the movie’s publicists stepped in and let Lil Wayne and his friends inside. Lil Wayne was all ready to head to court yesterday, but at the last minute, court officials announced the courthouse needed to be closed for repairs. So now Lil Wayne doesn’t have to turn himself in until Monday.

4. Paula Abdul is just as sweet behind the scenes as she is in front of the cameras. She spent over a thousand bucks on bouquets, ordered 15 dozen gourmet cupcakes from the Sprinkles in Beverly Hills and sent each “American Idol” judge a hand-written note, telling them congratulations and wishing them all a fabulous season.

3. Julianne Hough broke up with her boyfriend Chuck Wicks back in November after they twirled together and spewed their love all over the “Dancing With The Stars” set. But Julianne wasted no time sitting around sniffling. She’s having a great time being single. In December, she briefly hooked up with Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill, but now it looks like she’s hanging with Dane Cook. Julianne was in the audience for Dane’s surprise performance at Hollywood’s Laugh Factory Saturday night. After his set, Dane walked over to Julianne, kissed her, and then they left together for a romantic dinner date at Katsuya, where they ate in the very private Dragon Room.

2. Justin Bieber turned 16 on Monday and he’s looking to buy his first car. Justin was seen driving around Miami in Sean Kingston’s Ferrari F430 sportscar last month, but he says he’s leaning towards something a little bigger for himself….like maybe a Range Rover. Justin says a while back, Diddy said when Justin turned 16, he was going to hand him the keys to his Lamborghini. But Justin says, “We all know Diddy’s not gonna give me his Lamborghini. He’s all talk.”
